Kona Bicycle Co. has recalled about 530 of its 2014 Kona Wo bicycles after receiving one report of the bicycle fork breaking at the junction of the crown and posing a fall hazard.

While no injuries have been reported, the Ferndale, WA company  is instructing consumers to  immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact Kona or an authorized Kona dealer for a free replacement and installation of the bicycle fork.

This recall involves all 2014 Kona Wo bicycles with a charcoal black frame and silver decals. The word “Wo” is on the top tube of the frame and the word “Kona” is on the down tube of the frame and on the side of the seat.
The bicycles were made in Taiwan and  sold by authorized Kona dealers nationwide from September 2013 through July 2014 for about $1,700.
