Gorsuch Ltd. Of Avon CO is recalling about 300 Ertlrenz ski boot liners sold since 2010 because they can overheat when charging, posing a fire hazard.

The recall affects the customized Ertlrenz Trim Heat and Foam Heat liners, including the the 2011 through 2013 model pictured to the left.

Gorsuch received three reports of the heat liners smoldering during the charging process. No injuries have been reported.

The company has advised consumers to immediately stop using the heat liners and return them along with the charger and remote control to Gorsuch LTD or a Gorsuch store for repair or replacement. Every product is accompanied by a charger and a remote control for the
heating system. There also is an accompanying Ertlrenz instruction
manual supplied with the heat liners at the time of purchase.

The liners, which are handmade in Germany and Austria, were sold at Gorsuch Ltd. stores in Aspen, Vail and Beaver Creek from November 2011 through March 2015 for about $690. Models of the liners sold from 2013 through 2015 used a different remote control, according to images published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
