Rawlings and Worth, both brands under K2 Team Sports umbrella, have won Modells Sporting Goods “2005 Sporting Goods Vendor of the Year” for the second consecutive year.
The Sporting Goods Vendor Award, given annually to one company, is determined by the executive management team at Modells. The criterion for the award is based on the manufacturers commitment to Modells and the needs of its consumers.
Bob Stevenish, president and COO of Modells explained, “This strategic partnership is one of the largest that Modells has ever been involved with. It resulted in excellent margins and sell-thrus and produced unbelievable results. We now use the Rawlings/Worth Model for developing partnerships with our other vendors.”
Mark Barry, VP for retail sales of both the Rawlings and Worth brands, recognizes the team effort that comprises such an award, “We are elated to have received this honor two consecutive years. We have learned that effective, lasting relationships, such as ours with Modells, are what allows our company to flourish. I applaud both the Rawlings and Worth team as well as Modells for their contributions to this relationship and look forward to its development in future years.”
