The National Hockey League (NHL) and Quiksilver Inc. entered into a multiyear merchandising partnership for co-branded NHL boardshorts. The announcement was made by NHL Group Vice President of Consumer Products Licensing Jim Haskins and Quiksilver Americas Executive Vice President Steve Tully at the 2012 NHL Exchange licensed products and retail trade show at the Nokia Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles, CA.

“We are excited to extend the reach of our Quiksilver brand in partnership with the NHL,” said Tully.  “Hockey fans in the U.S. and Canada will now have the opportunity to experience Quiksilver’s iconic product category – boardshorts- in collaboration with their favorite NHL teams.”

“Quiksilver is a brand that specializes in innovative lifestyle products for the active and the adventurous,” said Haskins. “The NHL boardshorts line will feature Quiksilver’s signature mix of surf and skate-inspired colors and styles designed for the young NHL fan.”

The initial collection will be available in stores in time for the upcoming holiday season in both the U.S. and Canada. Starting in October, the co-branded line will be online at and as well as the NHL Powered by Reebok store in New York City and Quiksilver retail locations throughout North America.
