The world headquarters for Pure Fishing has moved to a new office in The Carolina Research Park. The location at 7 Science Court, Columbia, SC, 29203, is now the home for global administration, durables product management and sales and marketing for the Americas.
Pure Fishing is one of the largest global fishing tackle manufacturers with a collection of the most recognized family of fishing tackle brands in the world. Columbia became the Pure Fishing headquarters in 2008. The original Shakespeare facility served as the interim location for Pure Fishing until the new location was selected.
“Completing the relocation process of a global headquarters for a company as large as Pure Fishing is exciting and we value the support of our parent company Jarden Corporation, our Columbia-based team, and local partners in making this significant company headquarters transition a reality,” said John Doerr, President & CEO of Pure Fishing. “By purchasing this building, we are demonstrating a commitment to the long-term success of our organization. Our coworkers in Columbia now have facilities to perform their responsibilities in an environment that allows them to continue creating great products and programs to strengthen our partnerships with our anglers, customers, vendors and pro staff. We are eager to be part of the Columbia business community and look forward to becoming an active contributor. Spirit Lake, Iowa remains our largest site and we have confidence in the team to drive fishing line and bait innovation that will continue to be the best in the world.”
According to Doerr, the former Shakespeare building will become home to Jarden Applied Materials. Pure Fishing is currently recruiting for additional Columbia-based roles to be filled in 2010.
