Pure Barre, the largest and most established barre concept in North America, plans to open it international location in Canada. The Canadian studio is slated to open in Toronto on Queen Street West, a well-known retail and entertainment district.

Spartanburg, SC-based Pure Barre has experienced consistent growth throughout its history and in April 2015 opened its 300th studio, putting the brand at the forefront of the boutique fitness industry with three times the presence of any other barre concept in the nation. As a franchise model, Pure Barre has experienced consistent demand from Canadians who have experienced Pure Barre's one-of-a-kind technique in the U.S. looking to bring studios to their communities. In turn, the brand made a strategic decision to approach its first international expansion carefully, building a solid expert infrastructure in-house and finding the right franchisee partners to carry out the brand vision.

“Pure Barre's expansion into Canada is an incredible milestone and we're looking forward to making our unique technique and community an international way of life,” said Sloan Evans, chief executive officer at Pure Barre. “We have a fantastic team of studio owners on board that we're confident will translate our experience in Toronto with great success.”

Ontario native, Paige Carper, is teaming up with co-owners of the Pure Barre Wilmington, NC studio, Katelyn Lippert and Alexandra O'Rourke, to open Pure Barre's first studio in Toronto. Paige is a two-time Ironman finisher who was fell in love with the Pure Barre technique when looking for a safe and effective exercise to do while pregnant with her second child. As one of the most loyal clients of Pure Barre Wilmington, Paige went on to become a Pure Barre instructor and deepened her knowledge and passion for the technique. Sisters Katelyn and Alexandra are excited to partner with Paige to expand the Pure Barre family in Toronto and bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to the new location. Pure Barre Toronto will open in late 2015 or early 2016.
