Primary Arms hired Kody Staples as vice president of e-commerce and inbound marketing. In this position, Staples will oversee the company’s digital sales channels and e-commerce marketplaces, with responsibilities over content and editorial teams as well as business analytics, email marketing and search engine optimization.
Staples brings over 12 years of experience in e-commerce and digital marketing. He launched his career at Overstock.com as a retention marketing and CRM manager, creating strategic and operational initiatives. Moving to Kohl’s, Staples became senior manager of corporate strategy and business transformation, developing digital growth strategies, and overseeing marketing and customer analytics positions.
Most recently, Staples was senior director of marketing and e-commerce strategy at Truck Hero. There, he launched multiple direct-to-consumer digital properties and drove consistent YOY sales growth across 20-plus e-commerce sites. He also designed an enterprise digital architecture that encompassed the company’s e-commerce platform, CMS, CRM, marketing platforms, PIM, and other supporting cloud programs.
