PrimaLoft is donating hundreds of ultra-warm, insulated winter jackets, sleeping bags, blankets, gloves, hats, scarves, socks and pillows to victims of Hurricane Sandy in the NYC areas.

“We are incredibly saddened to see the devastation experienced by residents in the Tri-State region, and we know many people are battling very cold temperatures as they begin to rebuild everything they have lost,” stated Mike Joyce, president and chief executive officer, PrimaLoft.  “We’re in the business of providing warmth and comfort, and we hope that our donation of PrimaLoft® insulated garments, accessories and pillows will bring some measure of relief to those in need.”

PrimaLoft was developed as a water-resistant synthetic alternative to goose down for the United States Army in the 1980’s. PrimaLoft Yarn is used in socks, sweaters, hats, base layer garments, blankets and accessories.

“We are fortunate to work with many incredible brands in the outdoor, fashion and home furnishings industries,” stated Eileen Berner, director of sales & marketing, PrimaLoft.  “We encourage all of our brand partners and industry colleagues to contribute in any way possible to bring some relief to those affected by Hurricane Sandy.”
