PrimaLoft Inc. has signed on as Platinum Level Sponsor of the Outsiders Ball for a second year. The Ball, taking place on Aug. 5 on the eve of Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, raises support for 100 non-profit projects across the country aimed at getting young people outside and active.

At its booth, PrimaLoft will invite retailers to share stories about their favorite non-profit projects that deserve funding. PrimaLoft will make donations to projects that meet their funding criteria.

“We’re proud to extend our sponsorship of the Outsiders Ball,” said David Newey, director of global marketing for PrimaLoft. “We applaud Outdoor Foundation’s mission to empower youth and young adults to experience the great outdoors and to encourage the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts. This age group has so many distractions that deter them from outdoor experiences that would provide valuable learning opportunities to apply to their lives at home. We want to make it easy for them to see firsthand the benefits of a night under the stars or a simple hike in the woods. ”

“The Foundation is thrilled to have the support of PrimaLoft for a second year,” said Chris Fanning, executive director of the Outdoor Foundation. “The PrimaLoft® brand has been a true leader in the outdoor industry for 25 years and recognizes the importance of engaging youth and young adults in outdoor activities. We hope the generous support will help engage more people in this critical cause.”

More than 30 organizations have signed on to sponsor the second year event, including specialty retailers, leading manufacturers, top suppliers and large corporate foundations.  Expecting to draw nearly 1,000 attendees, the Outsiders Ball will include interactive art, great music, creative challenges, a silent auction, local food and libations – along with plenty of surprises, all in a fun outdoor urban setting.

Select sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information, email Chris Fanning at cfanning@outdoorfoundation.org. Individual tickets for the event are on sale and cost $150 for individuals and $100 for retailers. To purchase tickets, visit outsidersball.org.
