Nikwax, the international manufacturer of technical cleaners and waterproofing products for outdoor gear and apparel, developed a “high-powered” deodorizing cleaner, Sports Refresh, designed to “eliminate odors and help prevent their build-up in athletic and fitness clothing,” offered in a 1-liter bottle.
Sports Refresh supports a variety of retail channels with a product “that cares for all types of active clothing and sports uniforms,” helping to extend the “useful life” of these items by “ensuring they perform their best and stay smelling fresh.”
“With the rise in popularity of activewear in the outdoor industry, coupled with increased participation in high-endurance activities like running and cycling, we developed a product to support our retailers and their customers,” said Nikwax Global CEO, Brian Davidson. “Most activewear is made with synthetic fabrics designed to wick moisture away from the body. These materials benefit from regular washing in a specialty cleaner as typical household detergents and fabric softeners can inhibit the fabric’s ability to breathe and wick moisture.”
