Gunnison CO, February 6, 2020 — Just a few weeks after officially launching their website, Hustle Bike Labs has started garnering accolades for its Hustle REM Pedal System, a magnetic clipless-platform-hybrid design which should be available to consumers by early Spring 2020.

During the recent Outdoor Retailer Snow Show, the pedals took home one of the coveted Outdoor Retailer Innovation Awards, and the renowned outdoor website GearJunkie.com bestowed its prestigious Best in Show title on the system. The Voice, published by the same brand that creates the OR Daily, named the system #3 overall in its TV50 feature calling out the most innovative new products for 2020, and the pedals were also featured in the Day 2 issue of the Daily.

The tester for GearJunkie.com, Kurt Barclay, has tested similar systems before, but the REM Pedal System was his clear favorite: “The REM bike pedal may not be the first magnetic bike pedal, but it’s poised to be the best — by far. Hustle invented the REM Pedal System for mountain bikers and commuters who want the power and connection of SPD-style pedals and the easy exit of flats. And from some early tests, we’d say the brand nailed the design.”

The pedals have since also been featured in non-OR related coverage, including popular websites like PinkBike.com, Singletracks.com and others.

Pedals should be available in or around April 2020, and pre-orders will be taken before that. Consumers can also sign up now to be on a newsletter list and/or to ask questions/make comments that will go directly to the founder and staff.

While hanging – literally! – from a cliff on the Portal Trail in Moab, Founder Craig Payne knew he had to design a new type of MTB pedal. Years later that idea is now a reality: His subsequent REM Pedal System combines the best of traditional clipless and platform pedals while eliminating the inherent flaws.
