Venice, CA, September 18, 2019 – Inspired by life on and beyond the mountains, California-based Holden Outerwear makes stylish performance outerwear for adventures that go from city to summit. Today, Holden expands their technical outerwear offering to include additional function-meets- fashion products with the new FW19 Collection. Designed with an elevated urban aesthetic, the new pieces combine stylish streetwear with authentic outdoor function and a focus on sustainability. The assortment is highlighted by Holden’s WHOLEGARMENT knitwear, which seamlessly combines comfort and fashion while significantly reducing garment waste.

“This collection is designed to suit the needs of people who live in mountain towns and frequent the backcountry, as well as city dwellers who escape to other parts of the world for intimate, outdoor experiences,” said design director and co-founder, Scott Zergebel. “We make stylish, purpose-built apparel that seamlessly transitions from the streets of New York City to the slopes of Jackson Hole.”

Similar to a 3D printer, the WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine creates the perfect, seamless garment every time, without cutting or sewing, which reduces fabric waste by as much as 30% and the seam-free construction means no chaffing or seam popping. Made from a blend of super breathable, 51% Merino wool and 49% polyester from reclaimed plastic bottles, WHOLEGARMENT knits can be worn as comfortable, performance mid-layers or stylish standalone streetwear.

  • The new Men’s WHOLEGARMENT Balaclava Top is designed with an integrated hood that can be worn over the head and face on cold days or loose around the neck. MSRP $230.

Another highlight of the new FW19 Collection is the Women’s Hybrid Down Jogger. This pant combines 700-fill RDS goose down in the front for warmth, with Polartec® Power Stretch Pro® on the back for stretch and mobility. Finally, the Men’s Lightweight Liner Jacket and the Women’s Bomber Liner Jacket feature Polartec® Alpha and Alpha Direct® active insulation, offering the highest level of freedom of movement, warmth and breathability in the lightest package.
