Diamondback has partnered with Diamondback athlete Rach McBride to launch its Women’s Gravel Scholarship. The partnership is intended to encourage more female and non-binary participation in the sport and remove barriers to entry. Diamondback will give-away its newest carbon gravel bike, the Haanjo 8C plus swag from McBride’s other sponsors to the scholarship award winner.
With three Ironman 70.3 titles, eight Ironman 70.3 fastest bike splits, and two Ironman bike course records under her belt, McBride’s career has been successful but not conventional. “I’m so excited to have been given the opportunity to support women and non-binary folks in the gravel community,” said McBride.
The scholarship will be open to female and non-binary applicants and the winner will receive a package from a collection of McBride’s sponsors including a Diamondback Haanjo 8C, a gift card from Wattie Ink, a pair of shoes from Lake Cycling, and a Nuun Hydration kit.
The application process begins on October 30 and runs through November 20. For more information, go here.
