Denver, CO, May 28, 2020 – BOA® Technology announces renewed contracts and athlete additions to its Pioneer Program for the 20-21 season. A program focused on athletes across snowboard, cycling, trail run, and mountaineering, BOA welcomes snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg, trail runner Grayson Murphy, and mountain biker Payson McElveen to the Pioneer team. Concurrently, BOA has re-signed Pioneer contracts with snowboarders Travis Rice and Mark Sollors, trail runners Dominic and Katie Grossman, and cyclist Ellen Noble.

“During a time when much of what these dedicated athletes do for a living is on hold in the usual sense, be it on the mountain, trails, or in competition, it is important for us to support this community and continue to build meaningful, long-term partnerships,” says Shawn Neville, CEO at BOA Technology. “Our product innovation efforts haven’t slowed during these uncertain and unprecedented times, and neither will our commitment to our Pioneers whose dedication to their sport is invaluable to our business.”

BOA is excited to announce the re-signing of world-renowned big mountain rider, Travis Rice, whose approach has changed the way snowboarders see the mountain and has produced some of snowboarding’s most iconic films. BOA is also proud to re-sign Mark Sollors out of Whistler, BC, a remarkable snowboarder who is known for his local backcountry expertise, kind demeanor, and high action video segments. New to the program, BOA has signed 26-year old Park City native Sage Kotsenburg, who’s gone from winning the first-ever Olympic Gold medal in slopestyle to bringing up the next generation of backcountry snowboarders.

In the trail run category, BOA has signed 2019 World Mountain Running Champion and XTERRA Trail Run World Champion, Grayson Murphy. Grayson resides in her hometown of Salt Lake City where she is focused on her professional running career with Saucony and exploring the trails where she first found her passion for running. BOA has also re-signed Pioneers Dominic and Katie Grossman, a trail running power couple out of Wrightwood, California. The Grossman’s can be found in the mountains they call home, trail running, ski touring, and adventuring with their young one in tow, in a relentless pursuit of optimization.

“On any given run, the terrain can be drastically varied – especially when I’m covering ultra distances or climbing up to alpine,” says Katie Grossman. “The BOA Fit System gives me the precise, snug fit I need to confidently charge up and down the mountains.”

BOA is pleased to announce a new partnership with mountain bike cross-country marathon rider, Payson McElveen. A five-time collegiate title winner and US National Champion, McElveen complements his race career with The Adventure Stache, an insightful podcast and video mini-series that features candid conversations with elite athletes. BOA has also re-signed 4-time Cyclocross National Champion and Pan-American Continental Cyclocross Champion, Ellen Noble. Noble is a dominating force in CX and is a strong advocate for advancement in women’s cycling.
