Polygiene, the provider of “stays fresh” technology, said Rebecka Harvyl joined the office in Sweden as the new marketing manager, and Bobby Howell will come on as the commercial director of North America, located in Vancouver, Canada.
Before joining Polygiene, Harvyl served as a project manager and marketing coordinator at Sweden’s largest and popular chain candy store, Hemmakväll. She brings strong marketing experience to her new role at Polygiene, where she will assist with graphic production and projects in InDesign and Photoshop as well as social media management. In her free time, she enjoys cards, hot yoga and traveling.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of the growth at Polygiene,” said Harvyl. “I appreciate the brand’s sustainability story, and I think we all need to do our part in avoiding fashion’s ‘fast’ culture. I believe that Polygiene presents a real solution to this universal problem, and I want to be part of that solution.”
As commercial director of North America, Howell will cover the West Coast region. He will work alongside current commercial director of North America, Hans Bergman, who covers the East Coast region and is based in Montreal. Howell joins Polygiene with valuable experience and relationships in the outdoors industry. He previously worked with Arc’teryx, Asos and 7Mesh, and his background in both sales and marketing will be valuable at Polygiene.
“Polygiene has established partnerships with some of the finest brands in the sporting goods, hunting, fashion and home and lifestyle sectors,” said Howell. “I look forward to building on this strong foundation while also broadcasting the Polygiene story to new audiences. The company is poised for major growth globally, driven by the team’s enthusiasm, the culture supported by the CEO and the best-in-class product. I am excited to be joining such a progressive company.”
