Planet Fitness, the franchisor and operator of fitness centers nationwide, will soon expand its Seattle area footprint.
Construction of Planet Fitness Edmonds is underway in the Edmonds Shopping Center, in a space previously occupied by RiteAid. The 22,200-square-foot center, which will open in October, will have cardio and strength equipment, a 30-minute express circuit, and other Planet Fitness club amenities.
“Planet Fitness believes fitness is essential to our physical and mental health, and we are thrilled to invest in the Edmonds facility and bring our Judgement Free Zone to the community,” said Justin Drummond, president of Ohana Growth Partners (OGP), one of the largest franchise divisions of Planet Fitness.
Planet Fitness boasts 2,500+ locations in all 50 states. The Edmonds club will be OGP’s 13th Planet Fitness location in Seattle.
