PGA Tour Superstore opened its first store in Novi, MI a northwestern suburb of Detroit.
The 42,000-square-foot store is significantly larger than the average 28,000- to 34,000-square-foot store for the chain.
The store’s footprint offers interactive features, including a 1,333-square-foot putting green, nine hitting bays with Trackman software for virtual golf, studios for individual lessons and instruction, areas for personal club fittings, and a repair shop for regripping and re-shafting clubs. The store also sells tennis and pickleball items beyond golf.
The retailer said Michigan is among the top ten golf markets in the U.S., with metro Detroit ranking sixth among U.S. cities for golf courses, with over 75.
PGA Tour Superstore has 69 stores in the U.S. and plans to close the year with 74.
