Verde PR & Consulting launched a month-long membership campaign urging people in the outdoor and snowsports industries to consider joining PeopleForBikes, which is trying to expand its membership from 770,000 to 1 million by year end.

PeopleForBikes leads the charge to improve bicycling in the U.S. through the Green Lane Project, community grants, national partnerships, government relations and the PeopleForBikes Business Network. By uniting all supporters of bicycling under a single umbrella-from individuals to businesses to city leaders-PeopleForBikes strives to improve all types of bicycling in America for people from all walks of life.

“More voices in support of safer, more convenient bicycling in America gives PeopleForBikes increased clout when it comes to taking action to facilitate better bicycling,”  Verde PR said in a release announcing the campaign.

“If you bike to the office or to the pub, you bike to stay in shape in the off-season, you have kids who bike, employees who bike commute or you simply ride when you need to pick up a gallon of milk at the corner mart, YOU are for bikes,” said Kristin Carpenter-Ogden, CEO and Founder of Verde PR. “Bicycling is a huge part of Verde’s culture and the culture of many of our client partners who do business in the outdoor, snowsports and active lifestyle markets.”
