Outdoor Research has partnered with Outdoor Prolink to offer pro deals on its products to industry professionals like mountain guides and ski patrol who use outdoor gear daily for their jobs.

Outdoor Prolink is a consolidated pro purchase program that represents over 90 brands, including Osprey, La Sportiva, Petzl and Mountain Hardwear. It has a database of more than 60,000 outdoor professionals and claims to offer one of the strictest pro-purchase vetting processes in the outdoor industry. Each member of the site must be a working outdoor professional who has some influence over the general public to be approved.

“Outdoor Prolink is a drop-ship model, so Outdoor Research is utilizing Outdoor Prolink’s strong technology team to make order processing easy and efficient, giving them the ability to fill more pro order volume without creating extra work for the operations team,” officials said. “Outdoor Prolink also acts as the first line of customer service for Outdoor Research, offering a speedy and professional response.”

Outdoor Research will be utilizing Outdoor Prolink’s pro community for gear reviews via its ProView program that will be published on the Outdoor Prolink Blog Dirtbag Dreams (dirtbagdreams.com). The reviews will also be promoted on social media, and on the product page of the Outdoor Prolink website. Outdoor Prolink has a hand-picked list of vetted reviewers who are guides and outdoor professionals with substantial outdoor resumes. These pros test gear daily in the field and then write honest reviews, offering a different perspective than a brand ambassador or outdoor enthusiast, as their livelihood depends on their ability to perform outside. Outdoor Research will also have the opportunity to use the content and promote the reviews through their own channels as well.

This winter Outdoor Research will be offered alongside brands like DPS skis, Backcountry Access, Flylow Gear, Julbo, and Scarpa so outdoor professionals can buy all their gear for winter season in one place at a healthy discount.
