Cargo bike company Yuba Bicycles has signed a multi-year agreement with Outdoor Gear Canada that makes OGC the exclusive Canadian distributor of Yuba’s cargo bikes and accessories.

“OGC will raise Yuba’s visibility in Canada and increase the availability of cargo bikes for Canadians,” says Yuba founder Benjamin Sarrazin. “OGC distributes some of the biggest brands in cycling, and with their large distribution channels they will help us get Yuba cargo bikes into shops from coast to coast.”

OGC is Canada’s leading supplier of premium cycling products and is the exclusive Canadian distributor for Easton Bell Sports, Camelbak, Finish Line, Fox Racing Shox, Kryptonite, Profile Design, Selle Italia, Speedplay and Vittoria as well as bike brands BMC, Intense, Linus, Opus and Tern. Headquartered in Montreal, OGC has warehouses and service centers in Montreal and Vancouver with 17 sales representatives on the road in major markets across Canada.

“With the addition of Yuba, we add another leading brand and key category to our Bicycle Brand Support Program,” said Rob White, OGC’s vice president of sales.

The deal with OGC comes at a time of growth and rising popularity for Yuba, whose Mundo and Boda Boda cargo bikes have been recently featured in publications including the Wall Street Journal, Outside, Bicycling, SELF, Momentum and more. Yuba cargo bikes are now sold in Europe, Asia and South America as well as across North America. Yuba also offers two electric bikes, the el Mundo and el Boda Boda (pictured at right), plus a full range of accessories including child seats, oversized grocery-getter bags and more.

Headquartered in Petaluma, Calif., Yuba was founded in 2006 to provide consumers with bikes that can replace cars for errands. Yuba’s cargo bikes and electric cargo bikes feature a longer wheel-base for stability and sturdy steel racks for strength.
