Osprey Packs, a creator of high-performance packs, formed a dual distribution partnership with Quality Bicycle Products (QBP). Product will be for sale on QBP.com in February 2017.
QBP will offer Osprey’s bike assortment and will warehouse and ship product, accelerating the allocation time to retailers. In addition, Osprey will join QBP’s Dealer’s Choice strategy while offering a new category of products for retailers to choose from.
“QBP brings a wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of the specialty bike market,” said Bill Chandler, director of domestic sales, Osprey Packs. “Partnering with QBP and their Dealer’s Choice initiative is an important part of our overall strategy to increase Osprey’s presence in the specialty bike market, and to better focus our conversation with retail partners with-in that channel.”
Alix Magner, VP of sales, QBP added, “Osprey is an outdoor industry leader in the pack category and we are eager to bring their innovative products to the forefront of the bike industry. Their participation in Dealer’s Choice demonstrates their commitment to helping specialty retailers profitably sell their products.”
With distribution centers in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Colorado, QBP serves a network of more than 5,000 independent retailers. In preparation for the upcoming launch, Osprey will train QBP’s sales and customer service teams and participate in QBP’s Frostbike and SaddleDrive events.
