Osprey Packs hired two marketing agencies, JAM Media Collective and Under Solen Media.
“We are thrilled to have JAM Media Collective and Under Solen Media be part of our team, said Gareth Martins, marketing director of Osprey. Both agencies have stellar reputations in the outdoor industry and will play a huge role in our communications as we expand the breadth of our product line as well as our sustainability and environmental initiatives.
Based in San Francisco, JAM Media Collective is a boutique public relations shop that has been serving clients in the outdoor industry for more than 15 years. The agency specializes in building brands by garnering product placement in a wide variety of media outlets, designing unique events that tell a brands story, fostering partnerships with personalities in the music and design realm, and helping companies really connect with their core consumers in creative ways.
“We have always respected Osprey for their innovative, high quality products, their dedication to inspire new generations of outdoor enthusiasts and their commitment to protecting our environment,” said Julie Atherton, principal of JAM Media Collective. “We cant wait to get started working with the Osprey team and joining forces with Under Solen.”
Led by a trio of outdoor-loving, Internet-savvy women and founded in 2009, Under Solen Media is a new media consulting firm that fills a niche by supplementing traditional PR and marketing with new media strategies initiatives. The company, based in Portland, Oregon, specializes in structuring social marketing and new media campaigns to harness the power of Web 2.0 and word-of-mouth branding, and was recently named the #4 top influencer at the Winter Outdoor Retailer Market in January 2010.
“The Internet and new media have changed the way companies brand themselves, and so much of marketing is about connecting with a message or a cause. Osprey understands the importance of that connection. Were excited to provide the tools to bring their stories to life in the most interactive, dynamic way possible,” said Anna Brones, principal and co-founder of Under Solen Media.
