OrthoLite, the manufacturer of insole technology for over 25 years, has hired Raj Santhana as vice president of operational excellence. As part of OrthoLite’s global operations management team, Santhana is responsible for manufacturing excellence, innovation, automation, and digital transformation, working with OrthoLite’s Global Foam Innovation Team in a new satellite office in Singapore.
With over two decades of experience in footwear and manufacturing, Santhana, most recently, worked at Bata as the global head of Quality in Singapore. Before that, he spent seven years at Adidas in director roles, overseeing the company’s manufacturing and quality control best practices.
“In addition to his vast expertise in the footwear industry, Raj holds two engineering degrees, and he will be critical to driving operational excellence programs for our global team of 3,200 people at OrthoLite’s owned manufacturing facilities around the world,” said Richard Bevan, COO of OrthoLite.
The company made additional personnel moves, including promoting Shaw Kiat Phua (SK) to VP of Global Foaming, leading the direction for OrthoLite PU material development focused on sustainable innovations in footwear. He will continue to report to Richard Bevan.
SK is also based in Singapore and travels regularly to OrthoLite’s manufacturing facilities in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Europe, India, and Brazil.
