Omorpho, the company behind the the micro-weighted Gravity Sportswear collection, closed a $6 million seed funding round at a $26 million valuation. The investment was led by KB Partners with participation from Greenchain Capital and Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports).
The business was founded by Stefan Olander and Ben Williams in 2021. The brand’s Gravity Sportswear features strategically-placed small amounts of weight across the body to help athletes get fitter, faster and stronger without limiting natural movement. The funding will be used to build on its DTC distribution model.
Omorpho announced it recently signed Minnesota Vikings running back Alex Mattison, Seattle Seahawks running back DeeJay Dallas and Philadelphia Eagles rookie free agent Britain Covey. It also signed a partnership with Equinox to showcase/offer its Gravity Sportswear collection in its fitness clubs to members across the U.S.
Previously unannounced, Omorpho entered into a distribution partnership with Carbon38, the women’s luxury activewear line.
