Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition appointed Hillary Harding as its development director, a newly created position.

Harding is responsible for developing corporate partnerships, building a fund development program, executing special events, and collaborating with the Board of Directors on developing relationships with individual supporters.

Harding has worked in the outdoor industry for 10 years, with the last five in nonprofit management at Big City Mountaineers. She also served on the OIWC Board of Directors from 2006-2009.

“OIWC is a fantastic organization, and I'm excited to join the team,” Harding said. “OIWC has been a strong force in the outdoor industry for 15 years and continues to be a place where women, and men, come for inspiration, education and a chance to meet other folks in the industry and share knowledge and ideas. I loved being a part of the board and am thrilled now to join the staff and help meet the needs of the industry for the next 15 years.”

Sally Grimes, OIWC Executive Director, added, “OIWC has grown significantly over the last few years, and our members have made it clear that they want more career management resources and more opportunities to network and learn on a regional level. Hillary's expertise in nonprofit development and experience in the outdoor industry are a perfect fit with OIWC, and by adding her to the team, OIWC will be able to grow its resources and expand its programs to reach these needs.”

Harding lives in Denver, Colorado. She starts with OIWC on Tuesday, September 21, and joins Amy Luther, director of membership and Education Programs, and Grimes.

Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition is a membership community of professionals in the outdoor industries united to provide power, influence, and opportunity for women in outdoor-related businesses.
