The Outdoor Industry Foundation is looking for the second class of Outdoor Idols and nominations are being accepted for any outdoor athletes, trendsetters, and role models under the age of 23. The Outdoor Idols award honors eight young outdoor athletes each year. The awards will be presented at OR Winter Market, in January. The deadline is December 6, 2006.
OIF is looking for athletes who participate in ice climbing, freeskiing, alpine skiing (ski racing), telemark skiing, mountaineering, expedition, backcountry, snowboarding, nordic skiing, kite skiing/boarding, ski basing, or winter sport/outdoor instruction. Nominations will be reviewed by outdoor journalists, industry leaders, and youth development organizations.
