Ocean & Earth Products Inc., the Australian-surf brand, announced
changes to several key executive roles in the United States and
overseas in response to recent capitalization of its parent company. In
the U.S., Barry Marmion was named general manager, sales, responsible
for direction of the company’s inside sales and field operations.
Marmion was responsible for establishing Ocean & Earth in the U.S.
approximately five years ago. U.S. operations are based in Huntington
Beach, CA.

“This is an exciting time in the life of the Ocean & Earth,” says Marmion.

“I believe in the brand as a true global player, and the additional
resources and leadership that have come into the company provide the
structure and horsepower to get us to that next level the right way.”
Down Under, John Sayers, a real estate magnate and founder of
Australian Regional Express Airlines, joined Ocean & Earth Group as
an equity partner, the company reported recently.

“John is a good friend, a consummate businessman, and a diehard surfer
and snowboarder with a passion for both the culture and business of
board sports,” says Brian Cregan, founder of Ocean & Earth. “His
professional acumen and vision will lend great value to the process as
we advance our business. He also owns a helicopter, which is a plus.”

Ocean & Earth also announced last month the advancement of Phil
Mewett from CFO to CEO of Ocean & Earth Australia. Mewett now
presides over global operations, continuing in his roll as CFO until
such a time as a replacement is found.

Additionally, Paul Munten was promoted in September from COO of Ocean
& Earth Australia, the operational hub of the brand in its
homeland, to a CEO role overseeing all international business. Cregan
continues as equal major shareholder and Chairman of the Ocean &
Earth Group, a conglomerate he started and has been operating for more
than 25 years.

“I’m proud to say, we’ve built O&E into one of the few remaining
independent surf and snow brands surviving and growing in a market
dominated by public companies,” says Cregan.  “We’re looking
forward to realizing our full potential in the U.S. market and to
expanding the relevance of the brand on a global scale.

Building on the great work of Barry, and with the enhancements we’ve
realized in our business, we’re positioned for a good ride.”
