Oboz Footwear Appoints Marketing Coordinator

Oboz announced that Josh Wise has joined the company as its new marketing coordinator and graphic designer,
effective Mar. 13.  Wise will manage all trade and consumer-facing marketing communications projects.

“Josh is not only an avid outdoor enthusiast, he also brings significant marketing, graphic design and also product development experience to Oboz,” said Josh Fairchilds, co-founder and vice president of Oboz. “So he understands how to translate and tell product and technology stories to create successful communications to retailers and consumers.”

Wise has worked as a graphic designer, product developer, and production manager for a wholesale importer as well as for Hyalite Outdoor Group in Bozeman, Montana. Additionally, he has experience as a freelance graphic and web designer.

Josh is originally from Wisconsin, where he graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Menomonie with a degree in Graphic Communications Management and a minor in Art.

Wise has all the angles covered when it comes to getting outdoors in Montana‹hiking, camping, climbing, fishing, skiing and biking all keep him busy and in touch with the world of outdoor enthusiasts.

“I like getting outside any chance I can get,” said Wise. “So I couldn't pass up an opportunity to work with like-minded people at a like-minded company.”

Oboz Footwear Appoints Marketing Coordinator

Oboz Footwear has expanded its in-house team at its Bozeman, MT headquarters with the hiring of Jen Radick as marketing coordinator and Pam Malyurek as controller.

Jen Radick comes to Oboz with varied experience as an interior designer, artist, marketing consultant, retail buyer and store manager.  She holds an art degree from the Art Institute of Chicago and has made southwest Montana her home since 1985.    At Oboz, she will help ensure that Oboz¹ brand voice is consistent across all marketing avenues, oversee a new brand ambassador program, and work with retailers to develop and implement in-store and regional marketing events. Radick will work with Sharon Gauding, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Pam Malyurek‹a Montana native‹fills the newly-created position of Controller at Oboz, assisting CFO Tim Tripp. She brings 16 years of background in the footwear and apparel industries, with expertise in accounting, purchasing, logistics and production management in domestic and international markets. Malyurek graduated from Montana State University, where she studied business and accounting.

These women bring rich experience and creativity to our team,² said Oboz President John Connelly. ³We welcome them and know that they have the instrumental skills that will help Oboz through its next phase of growth.

Connelly also expressed thanks and appreciation to Taylor Keeley, who is leaving Oboz after over five years to travel the world.  We hired Taylor the moment we met her. She was our first employee and she helped us build Oboz from the ground up in countless ways, with dexterity, humor and a can-do approach. Thank you, Taylor!.
