Nordstrom, Inc. announced it will open a 45,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack, a unit of the company's off-price retail division, in Tampa, Fla. in fall 2010. The new store will be located in the Walter's Crossing neighborhood at the intersection of Interstate Highway 275 and the Dale Mabry Highway next to Home Depot.

“We're excited to bring Nordstrom Rack to Tampa,” said Scott Meden, president of Nordstrom Rack. “We look forward to opening our doors next fall and offering customers savings on many of the same great brands found at Nordstrom stores.”

This will be the retailer's first Nordstrom Rack in Tampa and the fifth in the state. Currently, there is one Rack store in Florida at The Oasis at Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, Fla. Nordstrom Rack is scheduled to open in Orlando on Nov. 6, 2009, and in Kendall, Fla. and Coral Gables, Fla. in spring 2010. The company also operates nine Nordstrom stores in Florida, including one in Tampa at International Plaza.
