Alp-n-Rock named Michael Ryan, industry veteran, to lead its efforts for international sales. Ryan, founder, owner and CEO of Blue Agency will work in tandem with Alp-n-Rock founder Susanne Reich to increase the brand’s presence in the global market place.

Ryan has over 30 years of experience in introducing fashion brands to U.S., Canadian and European markets. Located in New York, Blue Agency has a newly renovated showroom, where retail buyers from around the world come to see brands including Alp-n-Rock, Armand Basi, Luke Simon, Parajumpers, and Post’age.

“Michael has the proven track record to increase our distribution internationally because he understands our consumers and the possibilities of our brand,” said Reich. “He knows what distributors need to have a successful business, but more importantly, knows those key resort and retail channels where our brand resonates.”

Alp-n-Rock’s collection is divided into two main genres; one embraces the atmosphere of European and U.S. resorts such as Aspen, Deer Valley, Gstaad, St. Moritz, Vail and Zermatt; the other embodies the darker side of the human psyche, through designs such as “Damaged”, “Fallen” and “Desire.” A third inspiration is the world of competitive snow polo that evokes an elegant sporty style. The line is available online at (www.alpnrock.com), and at over 100 U.S. specialty retailers including Gorsuch in Aspen and Vail, Cole Sport in Park City and in Austria, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

“Alp-n-Rock has a distinct point of difference giving discerning consumers a fresh look,” said Ryan. “Combining the classic appeal of mountain lifestyle while showcasing today’s consumer emotions has hit a sweet spot. The fact that most pieces are reversible adds value, a definite advantage in today’s challenging times. Lastly, as all product is made in California, Alp-n-Rock provides retailers with a product that wows the consumer and helps drive retailers’ bottom line.”
