The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) appointed Xavier Melendez as its new director of brand and marketing and Chris Mileski as the organization’s Field Operations Manager.

Melendez has more than 20 year’s experience in marketing communications, TV commercials, experiential events, and digital initiatives for online start-ups, big five advertising agencies and Fortune 100 companies.

“I’m more than thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the team at NICA, an organization that is a national leader in youth development, an organization that sets the stage for the next generation of success stories, an organization that strives to get #morekidsonbikes!” said Melendez.

Mileski joined NICA after founding the Missouri Interscholastic Cycling League in 2018. He’s spent much of his career working with professional teams and Olympic athletes, spent time with IMG on its Women’s Tennis Association Tour and owned and operated a training center to continue his focus on sports performance, physical therapy and endurance coaching.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to help support our leagues and to strengthen our organization as a whole. The heartbeat of NICA occurs at the team level, and I’m inspired to join forces with league directors and coaches to help get more kids on bikes,” stated Mileski.
