New Balance signed the Boston Red Sox's third baseman, Kevin Youkilis, to a multi-year endorsement contract. New Balance will be Youkilis' official on-field footwear and on and off-field athletic footwear and apparel provider and will partner with him to sponsor his 'Youk's Kids' charity, including the newly launched 'Athletes for Heroes' program.

New Balance will serve as presenting sponsor for all Kevin Youkilis “Youk's Kids” events. The mission of “Youk's Kids” is to raise funds and awareness to support existing community-based children's charities and medical research programs to ensure the health and well-being of children in New England. New Balance will also support the “Athletes for Heroes” program, which provides financial support for children who have lost a parent or have a parent who has been severely injured serving our country.
This season, Youkilis will be wearing a special make-up of the New Balance 1103 baseball spike.
