Thermo Fisher Scientific, manufacturers of Nalgene Outdoor Products, has notified Peregrine Outfitters that their 18-year distribution agreement will end March 5, 2008. Peregrine and Nalgene have worked out a strategy enabling Peregrine to continue to stock, promote and deliver Nalgene products throughout the transition period.
Bob Olsen, president of Peregrine Outfitters said, “Were sorry that they have chosen to take this step. Our decision to add a competing brand conflicted with their plan for the Nalgene brand. They have been an important trading partner for 18 years, they build great products and we wish them well.”
Tag Carpenter, Peregrines sales manager, said, “Peregrines plan is to have another great year with Nalgene Products & we will maintain the high level of service & order fulfillment our mutual customers expect.”
