Mountainsmith officially opens the doors today at its new headquarters in the northern part of Golden, CO. The maker of outdoor gear relocated over the weekend to a custom built space located on the main artery connecting Boulder to the mountains via Golden.
The new space is designed to support the continuing growth of sales, marketing and product development planned for the coming years.
“Our move marks another positive step in Mountainsmith’s growth,” said Jay Getzel, national sales manager for the company.“2010 has proven to be a very successful year and early indications for 2011 are that our momentum has no end in sight. As we turn the calendar to the new year, we would like to thank all our loyal fans and customers, retailers and our exceptional internal and external teams for their support and commitment to our iconic brand.”
Retailers and industry friends are welcome to stop by and join in-house personnel whenever in the area to enjoy a product tour in a new, custom showroom space. The large showroom with expansive views of the town and surrounding mountains gives the inspiration for the line.
The location provides easy access to the mountain trails that are such an integral part of the company’s product development. The location is also conducive to lunchtime runs, hikes and bike sessions, all a part of the intense testing process that goes into Mountainsmith development.

Mountainsmith's began in 1979 and makes a full line of active lifestyle products, including technical backpacks, travel storage systems, luggage, camera bags, as well as the lumbar pack icons.
