Payless’s EVP/COO was not the only key executive to move about last week as several sporting goods companies saw new faces in high level roles, while others saw old faces depart. Hibbett Sports, Inc. reported a vacancy in the president role as Brian Priddy resigned “to pursue other interests,” with the company stating that his duties will be distributed among HIBB’s senior management. Just last week, he was getting a pat on the back from Mickey Newsome as the CEO was being inducted into the Sporting Goods Hall of Fame.

Recently acquired Fila USA continued to tinker with its management team last week, naming Andrea Greco as vice president and COO for Fila USA. In this case, Fila welcomes back an old face into a new role as Greco rejoins Fila USA where he previously served as VP of supply chain from 2001 to 2005.

Elsewhere in the footwear world, Wolverine World Wide promoted Scott Sible to president of Merrell. Sible most recently served as the VP and general manager of Merrell. He will still report to Jacques Lavertue in his new role.
