Moosejaw, celebrating its 30th anniversary, launched its “More” Outerwear Collection for Walmart last week, bringing performance outerwear to a broader audience.
It also introduced new programs, including gear rental, where consumers can rent gear and have it shipped to their destination, and online gear wizards, camping and backpacking experts, giving personalized advice.
“For over 30 years, we’ve worked hard to bring the magic of the outdoors to as many people as possible with a bit of irreverence,” said Eoin Comerford, CEO, Moosejaw. “We never take ourselves too seriously, but we are serious about making sure our customers, regardless of their skill level, have all the information they need to make the right product choices for an enjoyable outdoor experience. With an entirely new genre of consumers discovering the solace of the outdoors for the first time, our messaging has to be easy to understand. This is the key to our success in growing our community while doing things that are good for the planet and just plain fun.”
Moosejaw’s More Outerwear Collection for Walmart offers a line of men’s and women’s fabric shells made with 100 percent recycled polyester in a range of inclusive sizing, lower price points and increased distribution.
Moosejaw’s online gear rental program ships to any destination in the U.S., expanding rental availability to consumers not close to a gear rental store. Outbound and return shipping is free for most rentals and includes Big Agnes, Kelty, Marmot, and MSR. Customers can rent by category or select a customized package by activity, including car camping, comfort camping, standard backpacking, or ultralight backpacking. Cancellations are free up to ten days before the rental window starts, and each rental earns 10 percent back in Moosejaw Reward Dollars that can be applied to future rentals or buying gear and apparel. Each rental includes a free consultation with a Moosejaw gear wizard.
