Andrea Parisotto, President of SCARPA North America announced the hiring of Kim Miller as the CEO.

Having worked with Kim in the past and knowing his skill set both
professionally and as a skier and climber makes him the ideal candidate for
this job. Kim will add a huge know-how to our strong team²

Starting his career as a Customer Service Manager at Chouinard Equipment Ltd. in 1987; Miller moved into Quality Assurance and Quality Control until 1989. When Black Diamond was formed in 1990, Kim took the post
as the Rocky Mountain Territory sales representative (1990 ­ 1999), then moved in-house at Black Diamond as the Black Diamond Mountain Brand Manager ,which included SCARPA distribution in North America, and later the Black Diamond Ski Line Manager until mid 2003. Miller returned to the field in August 2003, as an independent sales representative teaming up with Jack Tackle to handle Vasque Footwear and the Black Diamond Climbing line for the
Rockies, landing back in his hometown of Boulder, Colorado.

³I¹ve always been exceptionally fortunate to represent brands to which I
feel deeply connected,² explains Miller. ³Having worked in the industry for
over 20 years, I will be harnessing all my experience from product concept
to sell through at the dealer level in my new post. Having worked with
SCARPA for many years, I understand their positioning in the North American
market and globally. I look forward to the challenge.² Miller will assume
his post in Boulder, January 1, 2006.

In other SNA news, new sales rep agencies for the Midwest and Eastern Canada
have been named. Kevin Cox of Alpine Exposure will handle the swath of
territory from North Dakota to Texas; and Luc Barabe and Allan Daignault
will handle SCARPA in Quebec.
