LOOPTWORKS, makers of apparel and accessories upcycled from pre-consumer industrial excess, is launching wholesale distribution with a focus on outdoor specialty stores and eco-friendly boutiques. The company said it has seen strong demand online at their own website www.looptworks.com.

To facilitate the transition to wholesale accounts, LOOPTWORKS is
currently hiring reps in the New England, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast,
Midwest and Northern California.  Reps are already in place in the
Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Rockies and South Central region.

LOOPTWORKS will also be exhibiting at the Summer Outdoor Retailer Show,
August 3-6, 2010 at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The company said that instead of using new materials to create its limited-edition clothing and accessories, Looptworks scours the globe for pre-production excess – leftover fabrics, buttons, zippers, thread, etc. that would ordinarily be thrown away.  It “upcycles” those materials into new and highly desirable designs, creating new products without wasting precious resources while at the same time keeping waste out of landfills and helping other manufacturers reduce their ecological impact.
