Local Boosters to Host Rep Breakfast at OIA Rendezvous

Outdoor Destination, a program of the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development, will host a Manufacturing Networking Breakfast during Outdoor Industry Associations (OIA) Rendezvous 2014 in Asheville, NC next month.

The event will be exclusive to Rendezvous attendees that represent a manufacturing entity, and the Western NC Outdoor Roundtable.  The breakfast will offer a time of networking and exploration of growing the outdoor industrys manufacturing presence in the US.

The breakfast will take place on Tuesday, October 7th from 8:30-10:00 am at the Omni Grove Park Inn (Coolidge Room). Outdoor industry manufacturers from Western North Carolina will present their experiences in doing business in the area, how the Outdoor Roundtable has encouraged positive connections between business and community, and how the outdoor industry as a whole can work together to encourage American-made products.  The event is free of charge and all manufacturing entities are invited to attend. Outdoor Destination joins a focus on making outdoor industry products with an appreciation for natural assets and outdoor recreation.  Henderson County bridges the area between Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC, and includes natural resources like world-class whitewater on the Green River, the 10,400 acre DuPont State Forest (North Carolinas only recreational forest), and a strong reputation for attracting employees who are passionate about the outdoors. A competitive benchmark study of six of the nations leading outdoor-oriented communities ranks their community as 1st in Outdoor Amenities, 1st in Outdoor Employment, and 2nd largest base of OIA manufacturers.  Cane Creek Cycling Components, Diamond Brand Manufacturing, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and Legacy Paddlesports are among the companies that call Henderson County home.
