Lids Team Sports, the wholesale team dealer division of Indianapolis-based LIDS Sports Group, has reached an agreement with the IUPUI Athletics Department for a continuation of its previous deal for five years. Through the agreement, Nike will maintain its status as the official outfitter of all student athletes participating in the 16 varsity sports teams at IUPUI. The initial deal was signed in October 2009.
“We have had a great experience with Nike through LIDS Team Sports, and we are excited to continue to build upon that relationship,” said Mike Moore, IUPUI director of athletics. “The Swoosh, which outfits our athletes head-to-toe, is well-known by student athletes to be second-to-none in regards to quality and innovation two key elements for any athletic department.”
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to again serve as the Jaguars’ local Nike distributor,” added LIDS Team Sports Sr. Director of Sales for the Central Region Paul Brunelle. “The athletes of IUPUI can expect to continue to receive the same dedication to service and top notch product selection, which will provide them with the tools they need to rise above the competition in their respective sport.”
LIDS Team Sports is a full service team dealer, custom screen printer, embroidery and sporting goods operator based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a division of Hat World, Inc. Hat World is a niche mall-based retailer of baseball caps and team fan shops operating primarily under the LIDS retail brand. LIDS Team Sports was founded in 2009 and is made up primarily of regional team dealers Anaconda Sports (Lake Katrine, New York), the former Brand Athletics (Tigard, Oregon), and the former Impact Sports (Madison, Wisconsin).
