LEM Helmets has released two limited edition Team BePink colors of its Gavia and Volata cycling helmets to support breast cancer research. LEM’s partnership with Italian-based UCI pro women’s cycling team, BePink, inspired the collection.
Worn by team riders for training and racing, the BePink colors show LEM’s support of female cyclists. And with October designated as breast cancer awareness month, LEM will donate 10 percent from the sale of the helmets through its website and national partners to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
“Weaved into our brand mission and ID is supporting organizations both within and outside the cycling industry who are at the forefront of instilling positive change and impact through the work they do. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is the highest-rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. with a commitment to fund research for prevention and cure for breast cancer worldwide. And, we’re excited to support their work through our campaign this month that ties in our relationship with Team BePink,” said Keith Cozzens, LEM’s global brand marketing director.
Designed for road cycling the Gavia and Volata helmets are performance-driven. The Gavia features 27 vents for temperature control, multi-shell in-mold technology, a micro-adjust fit system, and a removable visor. The aerodynamic Volata is lightweight with EPS in-mold technology and also offers 17 vents for cooling.
Supporting and collaborating with Team BePink over the last two years has offered LEM the opportunity to cultivate a successful partnership with the riders and managers and immerse the brand in professional women’s cycling while gaining product design knowledge for the competitive female cyclist.
“We are very proud to join forces with LEM and to have the opportunity to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. LEM has a well-established reputation in the cycling equipment sector and is the perfect partner to share in the emotions and adventures that this beautiful sport can offer us,” said Walter Zini, Team BePink manager.
