LeeMarc Industries, parent company of Canari and Shebeest brands, on Tuesday announced a restructuring of its sales team.

Daris Chorro, a former sales director in the medical field, joined the team with years of sales management experience directing numerous inside and outside teams. Since his experience includes navigating a large external rep force toward achieving sales goals of an overall annual revenue of $140 million, he will play a key part in leading the LeeMarc sales team.

“I look forward to the challenge of working in a culture close to my heart and with LeeMarc’s commitment to the Shebeest and Canari brands, I hope to capitalize on my past experience,” Chorro said.

Christian Lass joined the LeeMarc team as national sales manager. Lass, who will be responsible for the brand’s inside and external sales teams, has 20 years of sales management experience in the action sports/outdoor apparel industry.

His many accomplishments include being national sales manager of FMF’s apparel division, managing over 25 outside sales reps, and 150 distributor reps. His determination and consistency achieved year-after-year growth. He is committed to do the same with Canari and shebeest.

“The heritage of the Canari brand is exciting and it’s time to take it to the next level,” Lass said. “Plus, how many brands have their own in-house vertical production capabilities right here in San Diego?”

The team is rounded out with Jason Gibb providing IBDs and reps sales support as LeeMarc’s inside sales manager. Gibb’s passion for cycling has served him well as he comes from helping XLAB realize positive sales growth as well as helping Mountain Flyer, Bike & Paved magazines expand their reach.

“I’m just stoked to be working with authentic cycling brands and I’ve never seen custom production right here in our own factory,” Gibb said.

Scot Robinson, LeeMarc’s president, said of these appointments: “The only thing that doesn’t change is change. We have seen so many retail shifts in recent years and our hope is this increased commitment to Canari and Shebeest will help us better navigate our sales opportunities.”
