For Fall 2018, Hoka One One brings to market the brand’s second collaboration between American and Japanese-inspired fashion label Engineered Garments.
Daiki Suzuki, pictured right, Menswear designer and founder of Engineered Garments, worked with the designers at Hoka on the Tor Ultra Law, shown in the lead photo for Fall 2018.
The unisex shoe drops today at retail stores in New York, Tokyo and online at Hoka U.S.A., Japanese and Euro websites.
The sneaker is a low-cut version of Hoka’s Tor Ultra Hi Waterproof Hiking shoe and combines waterproof treatment and cushion comfort in a lightweight shoe that’s suitable for hiking or walking around town. The design comes in three colors: Black, Racing Red and Simply Taupe with vamp leather overlay, mesh liner and color matched print webbing.
The Japanese–born Suzuki creates “engineered,” workwear-inspired menswear. Although the brand is one of several brands under the Nepenthes’ label, Daiki remains individual in his approach, melding his varied interests and experiences into each collection that speaks to the diversity and history of NYC where he resides.
