Robert Sasaki, who was appointed president of LaCrosse Footwear, Inc., in May, has left the company.

LaCrosse spokeswoman Laurie Shaw told The Oregonian, Sasaki left “for personal reasons.” Before his promotion to president, the former Nike employee first joined LaCrosse as an EVP in December. His hiring followed the acquisition of LaCrosse, which also owns the Danner brand, by Tokyo-based ABC-Mart purchased LaCrosse, last year.

Yasushi Akaogi  “will be assuming the role of president, in addition to
serving as chairman of the board for LaCrosse,” Shaw said.
