Kora, a maker of yak wool performance apparel, announced the expansion of its Yardang Collection to include a midweight (240gsm) quarter-zip Jersey, Hat and Neck Gaiter. Kora has also introduced new colors, Copper Orange and Lake Blue, in this collection.
Like all of the brand’s Hima-Layer fabrics, the Kora team designed and developed the Yardang, a blend of 70 percent ultrafine, non-mulesed merino with 30 percent Himalayan yak wool, and designed for four-season wear. The fabric helps to regulate body temperature and lessens extremes of feeling hot and cold. The blend of yak and merino also offers a soft hand.
“We’re really proud to be expanding our range. The new Yardang jersey is hugely versatile, comfortable, looks great, and has the excellent natural performance of our yak wool that we have become known and trusted for,” said Kora founder Michael Kleinwort. “It’s one of those pieces that will be a ‘go-to’ for everyday and performance year-round.”
The new products in the collection include:
- Yardang Jersey—a midweight, mid-layer, that fits over a base layer and is light enough to have a sweater layered on top.
- Yardang Hat—a snug-fitting pull-on hat with a double-layer main shell and a stitched rim to ensure a close shape-holding fit.
- Yardang Neck-Gaiter—offers soft folded layers with enough stretch to easily pull over the mouth and nose.
