Fishing tackle company KastKing has created the position of vice president of business development and appointed Al Noraker, previously director of product development, to this new role.

Noraker, who was previously with Wright & McGill Co. (Wright & McGill Essentials, Trokar, Lazer Sharp and Eagle Claw) in Denver, CO, since 2002, came to KastKing in September 2017 and joined the brand as director of new product development.

During the past 18 months he developed numerous successful new products for KastKing. Prior to his tenure at Wright & McGill, he served as group VP – director of home hardlines for Fred Meyer Stores, Portland, OR, where he had worked since 1980.

Noraker will continue to lead the product development team and, in addition, will be tasked with strategic planning, development of core business strategies, and creative brand building at KastKing.

“I can’t express how honored and proud I am to have been trusted with this important new position,” Noraker said. “KastKing clearly has a winning business model and I look forward to my role in its future. I’m surrounded by an energetic team of passionate anglers and industry professionals. Through their hard work and dedication, we are clearly positioned for success.”
