K2 Sports, a subsidiary of Jarden Corporation, entered into an agreement to acquire Squadra, the designer and manufacturer of a full line of custom cycling and triathlon apparel. K2 Sports already owns Zoot Sports, which sells triathlon gear to individual athletes.

“Squadra’s strong design capabilities and efficient manufacturing operations, paired with K2 Sports’ expanded global distribution network, will create significant opportunities,” said Tim Petrick, president and CEO, K2 Sports. “We are delighted to welcome Dan Weatherford and the Squadra team to the family.”

Weatherford, who is Squadra’s president said the company is proud of the business it has built with the support of employees.

“We’re excited to join the K2 Sports team and to work to take advantage of the future expanded growth opportunities the transaction brings to the business,” said Weatherford.
