Joes Sports & Outdoor named manufacturers representative Scott Sims of HO Sports/Hyperlite as the companys 2007 Manufacturers Representative of the Year and Columbia Sportswear of Portland, Oregon as its 2007 Vendor of the Year.
The award is given annually to the manufacturers representative who contributes to increasing profitable sales at Joes Sports & Outdoor by providing outstanding service, attention to detail, and superior follow-through throughout an entire year.
“The manufacturers rep is important to our success because they also represent Joes Sports & Outdoor to the manufacturer. A great rep like Scott can often make the difference between being an outlet for a product and being a preferred vendor,” Daniels said.
“The manufacturers reps work hard to win this award, because it gives them bragging rights among their peers and competitors for the entire year; including an assigned parking space close to the main entrance of our office,” said Ron Menconi, Vice President and Director of Merchandising at Joes Sports & Outdoor.
Mark Rowlands, Water Sports Equipment Buyer at Joes Sports & Outdoor, cited Scotts integrity and capacity for hard work on HO and Hyperlite, the companys key water ski and wakeboard brands. “Whether its dropping something off at one of our stores or taking store staff out on the water to test product, Scott is there when we need him.”
Norm Daniels went on to mention, “Scott is the latest in a group of business people who have contributed to the success of our company by professionally selling great brands and products that our customers want to buy.” Scott Sims thanked Joes Sports & Outdoor for the award saying, “Im really pleased to receive this award. Ive worked with Joes Sports & Outdoor for over 15 years, and Im excited about the opportunities ahead which will take their sales to even higher levels.”
