Jarden Corporation's Board of Directors authorized Thurday an increase in its stock repurchase program to an aggregate of up to $500 million of its common stock,  including unused capacity under the company's existing stock repurchase program. 

 

Acquisitions under the stock repurchase program may be made from time to time through a combination of open market repurchases, privately negotiated transactions, accelerated share repurchase transactions, and/or other derivative transactions, at the Company's discretion, as permitted by securities laws and other legal requirements, and subject to market conditions and other factors.

 

Jarden's Outdoor Solutions segment owns one of the larges portfolios of sporting goods brands in the world, including

the fishing brands Abu Garcia, Berkley, Fenwick, Gulp! and Shakespeare; the camping brands  AeroBed,  Campingaz and Coleman; the apparel brands ExOfficio, Marmot and Zoot, the snowsports brands K2, Madshus, Marker and Ride; and the ball sports brands Penn and  Rawlings.
