Jarden Sports Licensing (JSL) is taking its new TLG8 brand on the road as it tours the country in search of the ultimate tailgater.
The “TLG8 Tour” will stop at five college venues, from “The Grove” at the University of Mississippi to Ohio State's “Horseshoe,” promoting the co-branded Coleman and collegiate tailgating product line.

“We're excited to hit the road and show off what a great brand we have and experience the lifestyle with our fans as well as give them an opportunity to see what we're all about,” said Scott Linke, Manager of Brand Development and Marketing for St. Louis based Jarden Sports Licensing, a registered DBA of Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. and a subsidiary of Jarden Corporation.

Tour stops include:

September 24, 2011 – Oxford, MS – Georgia at Ole Miss

October 8, 2011 – Fayetteville, AR – Auburn at Arkansas

October 15, 2011 – Eugene, OR – Arizona State at Oregon

October 22, 2011 – South Bend, IN – USC at Notre Dame

November 19, 2011 – Columbus, OH – Penn State at Ohio State

Fans will have the opportunity to go online at www.tlg8tour.com and vote for their favorite tailgaters, with winners being awarded a full-suite of TLG8 products, including canopies, chairs, coolers, grills and more.

The new website features each matchup on the Tour as well as many other interactive features that fans can participate in and enjoy.

“We wanted tlg8tour.com to be a fun place that fans can enjoy and interact with each other, in addition to learning about our great tailgate product offering,” said Eric Reinsfelder, Senior Director of JSL.

In addition to tlg8tour.com, JSL also launched pages on Facebook and Twitter (@tlg8gear), with daily interaction with fans and planned giveaways scheduled during the Tour.

At each tour stop, JSL will have street teams dedicated to talking with fans and working to identify the ultimate tailgaters and the worst “failgaters” at each venue. Fans will be able to come by TLG8 Headquarters at each event to participate in fun, games and test out products. Giveaways planned include everything from custom drink coasters where fans can cite “failgating” offenses to a chance to win a full-size Rawlings team helmet.

Media coverage will include a “Love Tailgating?” radio campaign run during “RebTalk with Coach Houston Nutt” in Oxford, “Inside Razorback Football with Coach Bobby Petrino” in Fayetteville, and expanded coverage on “97.1 The Fan” in Columbus.

Currently the TLG8 brand umbrella consists of quality products from brands such as Coleman, Rawlings and Bicycle, with plans to expand their brand portfolio even further with the addition of other popular Jarden brands. This collection of products along with JSL relationships with various colleges, the National Football League and Major League Baseball allow JSL to offer consumers a true “one-stop shop” and provide “Real Brands for Real Fans.
